Here’s a quick photo tutorial of seaming down the collar for Cherry Pie.
The collar on Cherry Pie has a series of short rows. You can see them running up the middle of the ribbed collar. (note: I did the BO row in a slightly lighter shade of brown yarn).
Here, the crochet hook is highlighting that middle line of short rows. This is where you’ll fold the collar in to be seamed.
Here, the crochet hook is highlighting the inside base of the collar ribbing, where you’ll be stitching it down.
Here you see it folded down, and ready for seaming.
Keeping the collar even is easy; using the ribbing as a guide, you can simply line up the ribs from one edge of the collar to the base, and seam down.
Here you see the seaming completed along the inside edge.
Here you see the completed outside edge.
And here is the clean, tidy upper edge of the folded collar!
